Village Election: Bob Miller for Mayor, Fred Krage and Victor Viola for Trustees, is on March 21, 2017! 12 noon to 9:00 p.m. at the Mastic Beach Village Hall LET’S FINISH WHAT WE STARTED!
THE DISSOLUTION WAR IS NOT OVER YET!
There will be yet another Village vote for Mayor and Trustees on March 21, 2017. We need you to come out and vote for the DISSOLVE PARTY Ticket: Bob Miller for Mayor, Victor Viola and Fred Krage for Trustees. Without control of the board the dissolution plan can take years!
We have heard from many of our supporters that they do not want another village election. Unfortunately, this is not a choice. New York State Law requires that there be elections ever March until the dissolution plan is accepted and the formal transition to the Town occurs. That means, we will have at least, one more election.
WE MUST ELECT OUR DISSOLVE PARTY TICKET TO MAKE SURE THAT THE VILLAGE DISSOLVES AND THAT WE GET THE BEST DEAL WITH THE TOWN OF BROOKHAVEN.
The Save the Village camp is busy planning to sabotage the dissolution and is actively trying to do whatever possible to make sure that we stay a Village. Please, DO NOT listen to their continuing lies and propaganda.
Over 1900 residents came out to vote to DISSOLVE this village. That was over 700 more than those who wanted to save the village. The dissolution referendum created a mandate, but there are certainly loopholes. If the Save the Village people get control of the Village Board they can drag their feet for two years! Leaving our community in a limbo where taxes are collected but services are not provided. WE CAN'T LET THIS HAPPEN!
Unfortunately, we must continue this fight to the very end or suffer the consequences: Higher Taxes, Less Services, Illegal targeting of Residents, and more of the same bickering and fighting that has plagued this village since its inception.
Supervisor Romaine and Councilman Panico have made it clear that they will be expending Town resources to “Clean Up the Mess” in Mastic Beach. They are both honest and honorable men who have done a great job at the Town and promise to do right by Mastic Beach. Their goal as well as the goals of Bob Miller, Fred Krage and Victor Viola, are to have a peaceful transition of power from the Village to the Town by December 31, 2017.
We ask those who voted for dissolution:
who want our services returned sooner than later;
who want the fighting to end;
who want the corruption to end;
who want to stop the illegal targeting of residents
To come out and vote on March 21, 2017 and elect the Dissolve Party of Bob Miller for Mayor, Fred Krage and Victor Viola for Trustees at Village Hall, to work with the Town to move Mastic Beach forward in a positive direction. Let’s stop the fighting and just get the job done!
